Parikrama Seva
Food, rest and support for parikramavasis walking the banks of Maa Narmada.
Shri Nilkanthdham stands on the sacred northern bank of Maa Narmada. Pilgrims come here for river darshan, parikrama seva, asthi visarjan and nearby tirth yatra.
The Narmada is the river whose darshan alone is revered as liberating. She flows west, against most of her sisters, and cradles Nilkanthdham along her bank.
For centuries, parikramavasis have walked her banks on the Narmada Parikrama. Nilkanthdham keeps sadavrat seva for them — food, rest and a night's shelter in the old tradition.
The river changes by hour — morning light on the ghats, clouds over the far bank, and the temple rising above the water.
The river bank is not treated as a backdrop here. It is a place for darshan, service, remembrance and onward pilgrimage.
